On The Cross
2024
Acrylic and charcoal on toned canvas
24 x 36 in

“On the Cross” is a work that embodies the complete act of the cross — the profound anguish and supernatural resonance of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice. The composition is anchored by the stark verticality of the crucified Christ, whose anguished figure is drawn on a separate foam board, evoking a sense of importance. Surrounding Him, a chaotic interplay of light and shadow casts the three women, soldiers, and other onlookers into a chiaroscuro of both fear and indifference, the weight of the moment also palpable in their gestures.

The depth of texture and detail invites viewers to linger, discovering subtle nuances, such as the devil behind one of the soldiers, a heat shape in the sky, and the storm-laden sky that seems to echo the turmoil of the scene. This work serves as a remembrance of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, and what He needed to endure for our salvation.

The Sign You’ve Been Waiting For
2023
Mixed media on cardboard

For my 2D Design final project, I created a cartoon character cardboard cutout, holding interchangeable signs featuring inspirational quotes, that was designed to uplift and motivate young creatives feeling confused or overwhelmed. The approachable and relatable style of the character, paired with simple yet impactful messaging, was intentionally crafted to resonate with real-world audiences, as seen in the visuals provided, particularly those navigating the challenges of creative pursuits.

This project wasn’t confined to the classroom, or the gallery exhibition held at the eodn of the semester, rather it engaged with public spaces, where the artwork could directly interact with individuals in their daily lives. Observing the public’s response to this “random art” revealed the organic power of accessible, unassuming creations.

Kainos Tee©

Size Large

“Kainos Vision©” is a surreal and multi-layered composition that weaves historical, cultural, and spiritual references into a prophetic narrative of the creative calling. Drawing its name from the Greek word kainos, which signifies the radically new creation, this piece proposes a reimagined way of seeing, a vision for what is yet to come, called the KAINOS VISION.

At the center of the work, five young creatives stand with their backs turned, each wearing a jersey with the word KAINOS and the number 12, echoing the twelve disciples. They represent a chosen collective of visionaries standing at the threshold of new transformation. From a window on the right, a hand points toward the group, a invocation of divine selection, while an angelic figure is beside them. Executed in a dynamic blend of painterly techniques, from expressive, loose brushstrokes to careful rendering, “Kainos Vision©” creates a layered and tactile visual language.
